From village to village throughout the Xingu, we will make a comprehensive\u00a0discussion with all the Xingu women to strengthen their organization. From these discussions we plan\u00a0new actions for 2015. You can see how it was because our filmmakers will shoot everything.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">YOU CAN SUPPORT US! <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Yamurikum\u00e3 Association has achieved a space for its headquarters. But to start working it needs:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>computer, internet, printer, tables, chairs and shelves<\/li>\n<li>funds for operating costs (telephone, water, electricity, cleaning supplies and office)<\/li>\n<li>resources to produce crafts and t-shirts which will serve to raise funds for the Asssocia\u00e7\u00e3o to promote meetings, exchanges and training workshops for the Xingu women.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Make a donation and receive, in addition to our gratitude, the DVD &#8220;Meeting of Women Xingu&#8221; where they explain why they created the Yamurikum\u00e3 Association and what they want with it.<br \/>\nYou can also get a beautiful shirt of Yamurikum\u00e3 Association for \u00a3 45.00. The choice of that day was made because on September 5, 1782 died <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bartolina_Sisa\" target=\"_blank\">Bartolina Sisa<\/a>,\u00a0Quechua woman who was dismembered during the anti-colonial rebellion of Tupaj Katari in\u00a0Upper Peru. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.onu.org.br\/onu-mulheres-apoia-o-dia-internacional-da-mulher-indigena\/\" target=\"_blank\">UN Women<\/a> set a date reaffirming support for indigenous women in the quest for justice and in defense of individual and collective rights.<\/p>\n<p>See the projects of Instituto Catitu geared to indigenous women.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Instituti Catitu along with Yamurikum\u00e3 Association want to celebrate the International Day of Indigenous woman with you, who recognize their importance, not only within their societies as for the planet.
